Dr Calvin Choo Kok Yew is a Senior Aesthetic Physician with extensive experience in medical aesthetic treatments, known for his precise, patient-focused approach and commitment to achieving natural, refined results. As Medical Director of Five Clinic®, he practices in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health Malaysia, ensuring safe and ethical care in enhancing skin health and overall aesthetic outcomes.
He communicates fluently in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and multiple Chinese dialects, allowing him to connect with a diverse range of local and international patients.
Dr Calvin Choo Kok Yew graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from AIMST University with First Class Honours. He began his medical career at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, and later served as a Medical Officer in the Orthopaedic Department at Hospital Serdang, Selangor.
He subsequently pursued aesthetic medicine through the Malaysia Aesthetic Certification (MAC) programme and obtained his Letter of Credentialing and Privileging (LCP) from the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Prior to establishing Five Clinic®, he served as a Clinical Director in a prominent aesthetic clinic group, where he was involved in both patient care and the training of aesthetic doctors, with a focus on delivering treatments that support healthier, clearer, and more radiant skin while enhancing each individual’s natural beauty.
